If you’re like us, you’re still coming down from that Halloween candy high. But if you’re in the business of adding staff this holiday season, it’s time to put away the Ken Bone sweater and get right back into the swing of things.
There’s no question that seasonal hiring has been on an upward trend for the past few years. But this holiday season could be record-breaking. Amazon alone is upping their headcount from 100,000 in 2015 to 120,000 this year. Add up the top eight companies this year and you’re talking 567,000 seasonal jobs. That’s almost enough for the entire city of Portland, OR!
You can find hundreds of articles about this year’s surge in seasonal job openings. But most people don’t have the time to read through them all. So we took the time to extract the most important numbers and compiled them into an easy-to-read, downloadable infographic. So let’s get to it. If you have anything to add, please leave us a note in the comments section below.
